Sharlene Halbert, founder and Project Director >>

Sharlene graduated as an Occupational Therapist in 1990 and has worked in a variety of settings with both adults and children in Australia and then in the US, where she spent five years. Whilst the majority of her work has been in the areas of developmental and learning delays or injury, she has also worked and trained in health, leading to the running of a health retreat, training as a Bowen Therapist, studying nutrition and working in a community development role.

Sharlene’s musical journey began as a singer before she could even talk! With a wonderful piano playing mother, accompanied by a singing father, mother and 4 siblings, she went on to sing in many competitions, performed in lead roles in school musical productions, sang in choirs, worked as an actor in a children’s theatre, studied piano for ten years from age six, learned violin for four years and is a self taught guitar player.

Sharlene was awarded the Maestro Award from Kindermusik International in 2003/2004, 2004/2005 and 2005/2006, an award given to 5 Australian teachers each year, for her work in bringing Kindermusik programs to a large community of families.  Her love of bringing music into the lives of families expanded in 2005, when she added the exciting program of Simply Music piano for children and adults to The Complete Child and You.

Louise Mather >>

Louise is trained as an Early Childhood Teacher and has had over 10 years experience teaching and caring for young children. She has two children of her own; Ella and Archie and thoroughly enjoyed attending Kindermusik classes with them at The Complete Child and You. Whilst she loves being a full time mother, Louise decided that teaching Kindermusik would allow her to combine her passion for children, teaching and music.
